A Lakewood Classic, Made for Staying
In one of Dallas's most loved neighborhoods, these homeowners chose to invest in the house they already had. Twelve weeks and $350,000 later, the result is a home that feels collected rather than renovated: a white kitchen anchored by a stained oak island, a light blue pantry behind an arched opening, a navy bar with its own wallpapered alcove, and bathrooms finished in marble, brass, and mosaic.
- Full kitchen and primary bath remodels

Kitchen
White Cabinets, Oak Island, Brass Throughout
Paneled refrigerator and freezer, double ovens, stone counters, a pot filler over the range, and a light blue pantry cabinet with mesh doors set into an arched opening.

The bar
A Room of Its Own
Off the kitchen, an arched alcove became the bar: navy cabinetry with an X-shaped wine rack, open shelving for the bottles that deserve display, two glass-front wine refrigerators, and a blue toile wallpaper lit by a brass leaf sconce. It is the kind of detail that makes a house feel like the owners' own, which is the whole point of renovating to stay.

Bathrooms
Marble, Brass, and Mosaic
The primary bath pairs white double vanities and brass hardware with a freestanding tub, a gray subway-tile shower with a rain head, and a blue-and-white marble mosaic floor. The powder room got floral wallpaper, a brass-framed mirror, and a marble console sink.

The Pieces That Stayed
New hardwood floors run through the whole house, and wallpaper and paint were redone throughout. The dining room's glass bubble chandelier and the china cabinets with lit glass shelves carry the house's history into its next chapter.
